The guest house Il Paesaggio Lunare was born from Nicola’s decades of experience in the tourism and wellness sector, having opened 4 km from the hotel the Piscina Club Relax, an ideal place to spend delicious days of well-being and relaxation. Together with his mother, Irma, his sister Brigida and his father, Giuseppe, Nicola will welcome you with grace and professionalism in the rooms furnished with elements of tradition combined with shabby chic style, where elegance and romance reign.
An aura that makes the rooms intimate and familiar environments
The guest house Il Passaggio Lunare is located in the ancient village of Aliano, a town located on a clayey and steep spur, at 498 meters above sea level overlooking the Val d’Agri and its stream. The oldest part of the village is formed by houses built with raw clay bricks, surrounded by olive plantations and peach and citrus groves, better known as the “Gardens of Aliano”. Immersed in these evocative scenarios, the writer Carlo Levi, who was confined to Aliano during the fascist period, wrote his book “Christ stopped at Eboli”. In the village are still intact all the places described in the novel and in the alleys are imprinted some symbolic phrases of the book and to him are named a Museum and a Literary Park.
The guest house Il Paesaggio Lunare is today the only structure in the oldest and most evocative part of the country, in the wide Piazza Garibaldi, from which unfolds a tangle of narrow streets that widen towards the panorama of the gullies. A few meters away is the legendary “House with Eyes”, an ancient building whose façade looks like a human face that hides apotropaic functions to drive away the evil eye.
IL Paesaggio Lunare is located in a historic building, which, while retaining the peculiarities and charm of the past, has been recently renovated and equipped with all the comforts of contemporary living, combining care for the existing with a taste of refined furnishings and finishes.

At the same time, however, especially in the summer months, you find yourself wrapped in the festive atmosphere typical of Aliano and, in particular, typical of the paesology festival, “The moon and the gullies”, which for years has been taking place right around the building that houses the structure and that every year sees artists of great caliber perform, such as Rocco Papaleo and Michele Placido.

In the 4 rooms, light colors have been chosen, from white to pastel colors, blue, tiffany green, which recall natural landscapes, very relaxing, ocher yellow, which gives positive energy., without neglecting lace and lace and, above all, the wood finishes, the retro patterns for the furnishing accessories.

It is the smallest room in the structure, but has the exclusive of a private terrace with spectacular views towards the gullies. It is equipped with a comfortable queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom and TV and Wi-Fi.

The room is equipped with a double bed and is in fact a mini apartment, also equipped with a small kitchen. It is equipped with a comfortable bathroom for the disabled, also useful for guests with special needs. It is accessed from the common entrance, but privacy is guaranteed by convenient access with badge and code. It is equipped with TV, WI-FI and a desk table, to satisfy the increasing demands of guests who work in smartworking.
Donna Brigida
It is a comfortable triple room, with a double bed and a single bed. Although not equipped with an en-suite bathroom, you can take advantage of a private bathroom just in front of the front door. It is equipped with TV and Wi-Fi.
LA PISCINA
Guests staying at “Il Paesaggio Lunare” will be provided with the swimming pool located a few kilometers away, in the picturesque valley of the Sauro river. The pool is equipped with all comforts and its peculiarity is that it is salt water. Ideal place to regenerate during the summer months from the intense sun that warms these places.
A shuttle service is available to reach the swimming pool from the il Paesaggio Lunare guest house.
